In the classroom

Welcome to our classroom!!!

And This is our ‘lulu the kangaroo’ poster, with a pouch for flashcards...

it makes vocabulary learning interactive and fun. Some of our vocabulary games in the classroom using the poster:
1/ one student at a time comes to the front and asks lulu: "lulu, what’s in your pouch?" he will take out a flashcard. the teacher says the word and children repeat. the student can also be asked to say the word. flashcards will be placed on the floor so that everyone can see them.

2) children close their eyes and teacher puts the flashcards in the pouch. all but one. what is missing?...
There are many other ways of using flaschards and learn vocabulary. you can use flashcards when introducing/teaching new words or revising them. for example, when i want to revise, i split students into two teams which stand in a row. I show a flashcard. the first team who names the word correctly gets the flashcard. at the end of the game the team with the most flashcards wins.
at home, children could create his own flashcards. why not?  http://quizlet.com/
you just have to print out the flashcards on paper. fold and cut. you've got an instant set.
